Removal of Ineligible Desk Assignees
In an effort to ensure the security of the university's administrative systems, ineligible desk assignees are programmatically removed from all desks (administrative and signer) in EOM nightly.
A desk assignee will be removed from administrative and signer desks if any one of the following is true:
- The logon ID of the desk assignee does not map to a UT EID.
- The logon ID of the desk assignee has been deleted or is pending deletion in *DPUSER.
- The desk assignee is not a current employee. A desk assignee must have an active assignment to a Classified, A&P, Faculty, or Student position in the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) to be considered a current employee.
- The desk assignee is not assigned to any University Affiliate position in HRMS with either the Official Visitor or Treat like an Employee privileges.
A desk assignee will not be removed from administrative and signer desks if any one of the following is true:
- The logon ID of the desk assignee is not the preferred ID associated with the UT EID in *DPUSER.
- The logon ID of the desk assignee is locked.
- The desk assignee is an electronic office manager or delegate.
- The desk assignee has a pending or future assignment with a start date that begins within seven days.
Note: Current employees and University Affiliates in HRMS with either the Official Visitor or Treat like an Employee privileges will not be removed from a desk in EOM regardless of their logon ID status.
