Decline a Request
If an assignee wants to refuse the request, the request can be declined. After a request is declined, the request can still be viewed but no action can be taken on it.
Note: If the request form requires additional information, it should not be declined; instead, it should be reassigned.
A request is declined in the following ways:
- From the Request Form page, click the Advanced Options drop-down menu and select Save and Decline.
- From the Request Form page, click the Decline tab.
The user is required to enter a reason in the Reason for Declining box. Click Decline.
A warning explains that declining a request permanently terminates the form.
Select Cancel or Decline.
Once a request is declined, an email notification of the decline is sent to the request creator.
